Why is Warner Bros. Studio Tour London offering an education programme?
Warner Bros. Studio Tour London is a unique opportunity to visit and experience the authentic sets, props, costumes, animatronics and special effects used in the eight Harry Potter™ films. Our education programme brings film making to life in an interactive and inspiring way and will give students the opportunity to see first-hand the extraordinary artistry and talent involved in the film making process.
Does the studio tour comply with the local education authority guidance?
Yes. Once your school has paid, we offer two free pre-visit tickets to support your planning. We also offer a free downloadable risk assessment, supporting information about the visit, and downloadable pre and post resource packs, all of which comply with the national curriculum and exam board specifications.
Are your staff DBS checked?
Yes. Safeguarding is at the heart of the Warner Bros. Studio Tour London. All Studio Tour staff are DBS checked and our teachers are Enhanced DBS checked.
What do you offer international schools?
For schools groups outside of the UK who are bringing 10 or more students and/or teachers are eligible for our group rate. For information and to book click here. We also offer free resources for international schools, which are available to download on our Teaching Resources page.
Am I able to make an amendment to my booking?
Tickets will be held pending payment for six weeks from the date of your booking. Payment must be made in full prior to the date of your visit. Changes can be made to your booking within this six week period, please be aware once payment has been made as per our terms and conditions tickets are non-refundable and non-transferable.
How do I book tickets?
Please telephone our Call Centre on 0345 084 0902 to make your booking. These calls will be charged at a local rate, plus network extras. Our team will answer any of your questions during the booking process.
How do I pay?
You can pay by a school cheque or debit card, which you have one month in which to send to the Studio Tour. We may have to cancel your booking if we receive the payment after this time. A confirmation email will be sent to you on payment, which you need to bring to the Studio Tour in order to obtain your tickets.
Will my bag be checked when I visit?
For the safety of the public and the protection of the tour, visitors may be subjected to a bag and/or personal search on entry.
Certain items are prohibited from entering the tour including knives and bladed weapons, alcohol or illegal drugs, CS / pepper spray or anything which could be considered a security risk. Items found will be confiscated and illegal items will not be returned. We work in conjunction with the police to maintain a safe and enjoyable experience for all. Are there any extra costs?
There are no additional costs to our educational programme, however, below are other opportunities in which to purchase items from the Studio Tour.
In the Studio Tour there is a free green screen experience which gives you the opportunity to buy a photograph. We offer preferential pricing for school groups which is available on request.
Souvenir Guides are priced at £9.95 and can be pre-bought when you book your ticket or purchased after the Studio Tour.
Our digital guides can be pre-booked at the price of £4.95 or purchased on arrival.
Studio Cafe and snacks
There is a Studio Cafe in the foyer and the chance to buy Butterbeer and other nutritional snacks half-way through the Studio Tour.
You are able to purchase gifts at the end of the Studio Tour from our onsite store. We have a great range of items under £10 and £5.
Where do the lessons take place?
We have a dedicated onsite classroom which holds up to 30 Students.
Is there free parking for coaches?
Parking is free of charge. Your coach will be directed to our designated coach stop. If available, a member of staff will greet you upon arrival.
Is there a cloakroom for bags and coats?
Yes. We have a large cloakroom which is free of charge. We try to put all student items on one rail or trolley and give the ticket to the teacher to make your visit easier.
Is there an area to eat our lunches?
There is an outside seated area in the Backlot to have packed lunches with the other visitors. There is also a site specific picnic area outside the attraction, where you can eat your packed lunches before entering the Studio Tour or after you have left. Please advise your students to bring their packed lunches in clear disposable plastic bags, clearly marked with their name and the name of the school.
What happens if I need first aid?
We have a First Aid room located in J Stage and First Aiders on duty throughout the Studio Tour.
Is the studio tour accessible?
Our Studio Tour is fully accessible and if you need a wheelchair during the Studio Tour speak to a member of staff and we will bring one to you.
Does the studio tour cater for special needs?
Yes. All our lessons are differentiated and are workshop based. Our teachers are experienced teaching across a broad spectrum of abilities and have a specialism in working with children and young people with special educational needs. We are also guide dog friendly.
Can we take photos?
Yes, you and your students can take as many photographs as you like. You are able to film the sets, props and costumes, but not the media that is running inside the Studio Tour.
How long does a lesson last?
Lessons last for approximately one hour. There are five per day which take place Monday to Friday, at 10.30am, 11.30am, 12.30pm, 2.30pm and 3.30pm.
Is there a limit on the number of pupils in a lesson?
We can cater for 60 pupils in two groups of 30 for the workshops; due to health and safety we can only allow up to 30 students in the classroom at one time.
