Structure of your day
The Studio Tour has three sections, J Stage, the Backlot and K Stage. You will enter J Stage through the Lobby. The flow of the Studio Tour is one way.
The guided part of the Studio Tour takes place in the holding room, the cinema and the Great Hall. Once you leave the Great Hall, the Studio Tour is self-guided. There are staff members on hand to answer any questions you may have throughout the Studio Tour.
You need to be at Hogwarts School Gates at your allocated teaching time, where you will be met by one of our teachers and escorted to the classroom for a lesson that meets national curriculum and exam board specifications.
The lesson will last approximately one hour and once it has finished, you will be escorted back to J Stage to continue the Studio Tour at your leisure.
In J Stage there is a free interactive green screen broomstick experience that you may have to queue for, so please take this into account in your timings. At the end of the green screen experience there is the opportunity to buy a photograph of your experience at a preferential price for school groups, available on request.
There is an outside seated area in the Backlot to have packed lunches with the other visitors.
After the Backlot you will enter K Stage which exits into our Studio Shop, where you will have the opportunity to purchase a wide array of merchandise.
Please arrange meeting points with your students at the three different areas in the Studio Tour to ensure that your group keeps together and you exit the Studio Tour at the same time.
