HOME EDUCATION FAQs

Do I need to stay with my child during the lesson?
Yes, children must be supervised at all times throughout their Studio Tour visit including in the classroom.

I have one child in Key Stage 3 and one in Key Stage 4, which classroom should I choose?
Key Stage recommendations are advisory only; you are welcome to book into whichever session you feel is most suitable for your child/children.

Children must always be supervised, so your booking may only be split across both classrooms if there are two adults on your booking.

Can I bring my young child into the lesson?
Lessons are recommended for children aged 7 and older. Younger siblings may attend, but will be asked to leave the classroom with a parent/carer if causing a disruption to other participants.

Do you cater for children with special educational needs?
Yes, our qualified teachers are experienced in working with children with special educational needs. If you have any concerns or questions, please contact [email protected]

My household is more than the maximum permitted numbers – what should I do?
Please contact our Visitor Services team on 0800 640 4750 to discuss your booking.

Food and drinks may not be consumed in the classrooms as you will be up-close to authentic Harry Potter props and costumes.

Are the classrooms wheelchair and pushchair accessible?
Yes, lifts are available.

Will we stay with other home-educating families throughout the Studio Tour?
Following the lesson and networking, you will be free to complete the Studio Tour at your own pace.

What happens if I’m running late?
If you are able to, please inform us that you are running late, either by emailing [email protected] or by calling our Visitor Services team on 0800 640 4750.

I am a home educator outside of the UK, can I book the school rate?
Our school pricing is only available to school and home educated families based in the UK.

I do not have proof of home education status, can I still book?
We will only accept bookings from home educators with proof of home education status at this time. We look forward to welcoming you once you can provide proof of eligibility.

We are a home education group; can we still book to visit?
We will only accept bookings from individual home educated families for logistical and operational purposes. A home educated family can book up to two adults and six children’s tickets to visit. If you have a home educator from a different family who would like to join you, they will be able to make their own booking, subject to availability.
