Any qualifying tickets already booked for visits during this period at a 20% VAT rate will receive an automatic refund to reflect the appropriate VAT rate. Customers do not need to contact us to claim the discount. The reduced price applies to standard tickets only.

What is the Great British Summer Savings?
- The UK Government have launched the Great British Summer Savings scheme to help people enjoy days out for less. VAT has been discounted on eligible activities, including visits to Warner Bros. Studio Tour London – The Making of Harry Potter for visits from 25th June to 1st September inclusive.
When is this happening?

What if I make a booking now for the qualifying dates?
The reduced 5% VAT will automatically apply to qualifying tickets when booking on www.wbstudiotour.co.uk. For any qualifying tickets previously booked for visit dates in this period (25th June to 1st September 2026 inclusive) and purchased at the 20% VAT price, we will retrospectively refund the VAT difference. You do not need to contact us to claim this refund.
When will refunds be issued?
We aim to issue refunds for all bookings processed up to 6th June by 30th June 2026. All bookings processed for the qualifying dates after 7th June will be refunded by 15th July 2026.

I have booked a ticket outside the Great British Summer Savings period, can I move my booking and get the reduced price?
You can move your booking subject to availability, however, the discount will not be applied and our standard administration fee of £10 will be incurred.
Which tickets qualify for the 5% VAT rate?
Standard adult, child, family and school tickets purchased from our website or contact centre qualify for the 5% VAT rate. Items added to your basket such as guidebooks and audio guides do not qualify for any VAT changes. Additionally, the children’s Afternoon Tea also qualifies for the 5% VAT rate.
Will the discount apply to the children’s menu?
Yes, the 5% VAT rate will be reflected in the children’s menu during this period. Any pre-booked children’s Afternoon Teas will also qualify for the reduced VAT rate which will be automatically refunded to you.
Hogwarts Table does not qualify for the discount as this is part of a package.
What do I need to do to claim the discount?
If you have pre-booked at a 20% VAT rate for a visit date that qualifies for a 5% VAT rate, an automatic refund will be applied and you do not need to contact us. You will be contacted in due course once the discount has been applied.
I have a booking through a third party, will the VAT refund apply?
All tickets sold through official retailers are classed as packages and do not qualify for the refund. If you have any further questions on this, please speak to your official third party retailer.
I live outside the UK, does it apply to me?
Yes, the reduced VAT will be reflected on all standard tickets purchased directly from the Studio Tour for visits during this period.
All bookings that are refunded into local currencies will be made at the corresponding exchange rate at the time of refund, which is subject to variation. We always refund the full amount in GBP and unfortunately cannot affect the exchange rate at the time.
I am coming with a UK school group, does the discount apply to our booking?
Yes, if you are a UK school and your visit is within the Great British Summer Savings period, someone from our team will be in contact to start your refund.
Does the reduced price apply to Gift Tickets?
The purchase of gift tickets and bookings made using a gift ticket during the reduced VAT period do not qualify for the discount.
My card has expired/my account has closed how will I receive my refund?
If the credit or debit card used has expired, or the bank account closed, providing that either another account was opened with the same bank or a switch service was implemented, the refund will still be processed. It can however take up to 14 days for this money to be refunded, which is dependent on the bank or card provider.
If the card or account used has been closed completely and no switch service in place, the refund will be refused and we will not be responsible for making any further refund attempts.
