Creative Careers Fair Sign Up

On 30th September 2025, Warner Bros. Studio Tour London – The Making of Harry Potter will open the Great Hall doors for its very own Creative Careers Fair – the first of its kind at the tour – set against the spellbinding backdrop of the iconic sets.

The Studio Tour will welcome specially selected students in Year 8 to 13 from across the UK to take an educational look behind-the-scenes of filmmaking, with exclusive access to film professionals who worked on the Harry Potter film series. The experts will shine a light on the craftsmanship, skills and aptitudes required for a host of exciting careers in the industry.

The only way to attend the Creative Careers Fair is to be successfully selected by the Studio Tour through the application process detailed below.

Those specially selected students will get to explore a variety of career paths and hear real-world stories from professionals on how they got into their creative careers.

Amongst the filmmakers inspiring the next generation are Head Creature Sculptor, Set Decorator, Special Effects Supervisor, Art Director, Head Prop Maker, Costume Curator and Chief Hairdresser and Sound Artists.

There will be two time slots for the Creative Careers Fair – one entry at 6pm and one at 7pm, with the fair ending at 10pm.

Applications are open now, exclusively to teachers to apply on behalf of Year 8 to 13 students. You will need to provide your school’s DFE, SEED or DENI number as well as your school email address when applying.

You will be notified by 23rd September 2025 at the latest if you have secured a place for your student or students. Successful applicants will be chosen by the Studio Tour, applications are strongly encouraged to demonstrate the following and the Studio Tour’s decision will be final:

Please note, that students must be accompanied by teachers and that the entrance ticket does not include transport. One carer ticket can be provided for each disabled student with the carer sharing proof of entitlement. We currently accept the following proof documentation:

When do applications open?

How many people can I bring to the Creative Careers Fair? 
A maximum of 30 students from one school will be accepted. We operate a 1 teacher to every 10 student ratio

I am a home schooler, can I apply? 
The Creative Careers Fair is open to all school children, including home schoolers. We ask that if you are a home schooler, please email [email protected] for more information on how to apply

How will the successful attendees be selected? 
Applicants will be selected by the Studio Tour, giving consideration to the application’s demonstration of the following but with the Studio Tour’s decision being final: 

  • The student’s or students’ interest in pursuing knowledge and exploring the different paths in filmmaking, be that through curricular to extra-curricular pursuits
  • A clear demonstration that the school applying supports and or focusses on creative arts, media and film
  • Evidence that the student(s) is/are motivated to grow skills in the film industry  

How do the event timings work? 
There are two time slots for the Creative Careers Fair (6pm and 7pm). If your application is successful, you will be assigned either the 6pm or 7pm slot and this will be detailed in your confirmation email. The fair will take approximately an hour to complete, and you are welcome to enjoy the Studio Tour after hours at your leisure, but it will shut at 10pm 

Will the gift shop be open? 
The Studio Tour gift shop, located at the end of the tour will be open for purchases should guests wish to buy a souvenir

Is transport included? 
Transportation will not be provided but Studio Tour shuttle buses will still be in operation from/to Watford Junction train station for use by guests to this event with the last bus departing at 10pm. Schools/teachers are responsible for transport to and from the Studio Tour

Will food and drink be available at the Creative Careers Fair? 
The Backlot Café located midway through the Studio Tour will be open for guests to be treated to a meal up to a maximum value of £20 per guest, with additional food and drink available for purchase should it be desired 

How many applications are allowed per school / home school group? 
Teachers can apply for individuals, groups or classes – with an application for up to a maximum of 30 students, but only one application is allowed per school / home school group. It is up to teachers to coordinate applications for a group of mixed year groups 

Will photography and videography be taking place at the fair? 
Teachers will need to acknowledge that filming and photography will take place at the event and that the permission of the parents/legal guardians must be granted on acceptance for any student to attend 

As the teacher making the application, do I need to attend the event? 
Yes, the teacher applying on behalf of their students must be in attendance for the event and is responsible for ensuring the teacher to student ratio is adhered to 

Do students need to be supervised during the event? 
Students must remain supervised by their teacher(s) at all times. Teachers are responsible for ensuring students travel with any necessary medical requirements and are also responsible for the health and safety of their students whilst on site  

Are carers allowed to the fair? 
One carer ticket can be provided for each disabled student with the carer sharing proof of entitlement 

How many teachers can I bring to help with the students? 
We operate a 1 teacher to every 30 student ratio. For a class of 30 students, we will allow 3 teachers to attend to supervise the students
